Christmas Tree

Our Christmas tree was so pretty. John and Katie picked it out and decorated it and it looked beautiful. I need to take it down now but I wanted to try and take a couple pictures first. I probably didn't do these right, but they still are kind of pretty.

HO HO HO! HA HA HA!

This is one of my favorite little Christmas decorations. This year it was the first thing that Katie pulled out of the decoration box and she thought it was the funniest thing ever. I thought I better take some pictures of my Christmas stuff before I take it all down and box it up again!

Happy Birthday to ME!

Had a great day with family and friends! The drive home sucked! I was not ready for this snow, but don't tell my Mom cause I told her the roads weren't that bad when I called as soon as I got home to tell her we made it safe and sound.

I had lunch with Tamera at the Cheesecake Factory today. It was so yummy and so nice to catch up with Tamera without our lovely children interrupting us every two minutes! Thanks Zane and Aunt Linda!

I also had a wonderful dinner and birthday party at my Mom and Dad's house tonight! Lots of good food, great presents and my awesome family. I will probably be posting some of my cool gifts in the days to come.

Christmas Pictures

I tried to take some pictures of the girls yesterday for Christmas cards. I know I'm more than a little late. Well Katie did great, with some promise of a candy reward. Charlotte didn't want the bow in her hair so she was crying in most of her pictures. I did manage to get a few ok ones of her after we took a little break.

Out of these two black and whites of Charlotte which one would you choose to print for the family for Christmas?

I really like this one of Katie. I tried to get a similar one of Charlotte but failed.

Thank You Secret Sister!

My secret sister had Tracy make me this yummy cake for my birthday! Don't worry my birthday is not till the 22nd so you still have 8 shopping days left! HA HA HA! I LOVE CAKE so this was the perfect present for me and I love the camera on the top!

MMMM Syrup!

Hmmm guess who got into the syrup? I just opened this bottle of syrup this morning.

Yep, Charlotte! She was so proud of herself too. I guess she did at least keep it, mostly, on the plates.

We're Back!

This is the Swanton "Mall". We had pizza for dinner one night from there and it was really good.

First Stitches

Had a little trip to the emergency room last night. Charlotte fell backwards in a chair and split her chin open. Poor girl! She didn't like being held down so they could do the stitches at all. She kept saying "help me mom" or "I wanna go home" or "I hold you mom?". It was so sad, and hard not to snatch her up. Then she started saying "ayudame, ayudame!" The nurse asked me what she was saying and I said I think that's help me in Spanish. The nurse was very impressed and started talking to her in Spanish and then the doctor started talking to her in Spanish. I guess she thought we didn't understand her in English and thought changing languages might get her some help. Or she wanted Diego to show up and rescue her!

Look At This BREAD!

I'm so excited! This was my first ever attempt at homemade bread and it was actually edible!!!! YEAH! I bought a few packages of yeast a while ago, cause it was on sale, and yesterday I thought I'd try to make some bread. I just followed the instructions on the back of the yeast package and voila! When it came out of the oven it was SUPER hard and I thought "OH NO", but I put some butter on the top and little bit later it was soft and very yummy. I only had to use one lifeline, a call to Aunt Linda to see what to cover it with while it was raising. Wasn't sure if I should use a tea towel or saran wrap. Her answer: Tea Towel, and it worked!

My Little Helper

Katie and I finally made some pumpkin sugar cookies on Sunday. I know a day late for Halloween...but really early for Thanksgiving!

The finished product. We had to add sprinkles for Charlotte. She is the sprinkle queen!

Katie also helped me decorate our frozen pizza for lunch. Both the girls LOVE olives so we had to add some to our pepperoni pizza!

Snow, Snow, Snow!

Katie let me take some pictures of her this afternoon cause I promised her we could play baseball when I was done. She hadn't brushed her hair all day and she picked out her outfit. I love the princess pink shirt with the bow and the camo jacket combo. Too cute!

I love this picture, even though she doesn't look like my little Katie. Ok, I don't like the stray hair but I didn't have the energy to edit it out.

My Secret Sister is AWESOME

We have Secret Sisters on the MOPS steering team and I have been so lucky both years we have done it! My Secret Sisters have been AWESOME. Last week I got a super cool Halloween ginger bread house kit, that the girls loved helping me put together and I got the cutest pumpkin spice cupcake mix kit. Katie helped me make the cupcakes last night and they are so cute and so yummy! I had to take some pictures.

Ribs

We had Ribs last night for John's birthday and Katie loves Ribs! I re-heated some for lunch today and she was very happy. Of course you can't have ribs without a Mt. Dew. Katie definitely shares my love for food. I wish I had video of her reaction to the curly fries and cheese we got at Arby's the other day! I think it made her whole week!

Lion King

Katie loves the Lion King, my Aunt Linda gave her a TV with a VCR in it for her room and a bunch of videos. She is only suppose to watch one video a night when she is going to sleep... Every night she picks out about 7 movies to watch but she usually starts with the Lion King. I had the Lion King soundtrack from when the movie first came out so we listen to the same three songs over and over again while we are driving. Here is Katie singing one of the songs this morning.

Walsenburg

We spent the weekend in Walsenburg Antelope hunting at the Gollam Ranch (Michelle's mom and dad's place). John, Pat and Michelle all got on antelope on the same day.
Katie stayed out in the tent with the boys, but Michelle, Charlotte and I (and maybe a couple Johnson boys) stayed in the house. Katie had so much fun she was so excited to be able to go hunting with John. Before we left yesterday Pat and John helped Michelle's Dad round up the cattle and then they let the kids ride one of their horses (Roni). Katie loved Roni, Charlotte did not.
