Not Happy With Me!

Katie and John were out in the yard the other day cutting wood and I went out to try and get some pictures of John. He was actually letting me take pictures of him, so I was taking advantage of it! Katie however was not happy with me stealing her Daddy time!

This is the position she assumed until I was done! She wanted Daddy all to herself.

Finally she got her Daddy back! Right after this picture I think she told me it was time for me to go back in the house!

Little Helper

Katie loves to fold clothes! The other day she folded this load all by herself. She was back in our room for so long I thought she probably fell asleep but when I went to check on her she was still folding. When she was all done she thanked me for finding her something so fun to do! Who knew? I hope this phase lasts!

Go Fly a Kite

Katie got a Kite from the Easter Bunny and Daddy took her out to fly it yesterday. She loved it! They kept that thing flying for a long time and got it pretty high, I was impressed!

Charlotte Speaks!

Charlotte woke up this morning and I went to get her out of her crib and she said NO. I stayed in there for a while and she just closed her eyes and ignored me. I left her room, thinking she would start screaming for me, but she didn't. She went right back to sleep. About an hour later she woke up yelling Mom ... Mom ... Mom. I went in and picked her up and she was perfectly happy! She said "Where's Daddy?" and I said "Daddy's at work" and she said "Work?" just as clear as can be. Then I said "Where's Katie, is she asleep?" and she said "asleep?" super clear too! It was like she woke up with a whole new vocabulary!

All the kids love Grandpa's chair because it has a remote control that moves it up and down!
I put pig tails in Katie's hair and when I was done Charlotte sat down where Katie had been and wanted one too! She had to show everyone her little pony tail that day!
