What About Charlotte?

I know it has been all about Katie lately, so here are some pics of Charlotte. She pulls herself up and climbs on everything but she hasn't started walking without holding on yet. She has three teeth now and my Dad said that she said Grandpa the other day, but he is the only one that heard it.

The Whole Gang

Here is the whole gang at Dan and Susan's house in front of Rob and Sharon's helicopter. Thanks Dan for this picture and Phil for taking it! We took Charlotte on her first helicopter ride while we were there, she wasn't that impressed but Katie liked it. Thanks Rob, Sharon and Phil!

The Leg Story

Katie fractured her leg just under her knee the second day we were in Maryland. Sharon and Rob were having a very nice birthday party up at their house and all the kids were outside playing. Katie was jumping on the trampoline and just landed wrong I guess. She didn't fall off, that's what everyone asks. John was right there by her and he said he thought he heard a pop. Of course she started crying and wouldn't let john put her down. Becky, who is a nurse, looked at it but there was no swelling or anything. Finally after she wouldn't even try to walk on it we decided to go to the emergency room. Jacki went with us and she was a HUGE help with Katie and Charlotte. Even at the hospital I kept thinking they would tell us that she was fine, probably just pulled something, but nope! They came back from looking at the x-rays and said it was fractured and she would need a cast.

They put a splint on it, since it was a Sunday, and told us to go to an orthopedic doctor the next day for a cast. This is Katie at Sharon and Rob's after the trip to the emergency room. As you can see she wasn't really in the mood to continue the birthday party. This is after she drove me around in the little yellow car for a while. I think Sharon has a picture of that, so if I get it from her I will share.

I wanted to get a picture of Katie with her cast by the trampoline, but she didn't want to sit on it, so Jacki held her.

Now Katie has an orange cast because when we took her to the doctor out here they took the pink one off and x-rayed it again and decided she needed a cast for another 3 weeks.

Camera Shy

There are so many good places to take pictures at John's Mom's house in Maryland but my models were not very cooperative! I really wanted to get a good picture of Charlotte and Katie while we were out there, but I just never seemed to have the time. This picture was taken on Charlotte's birthday. I bribed Katie with gum to let me take her picture.

Ok, I have been having some computer problems and we were on vacation so I haven't posted in a while. Sorry! I have a new computer now so I will try and catch up. Here is a picture of Katie at Grandma's house with her pink cast. She has an orange one now, so I will be sure and post a picture of it too. They took the pink one off last Tuesday to xray her leg and decided to put another one on for three more weeks.

Katie turned 3 last week! I can't believe she is already 3. Mom, Aunt Linda and Uncle Albert came up for cake and icecream. Katie loved it! I think we might have a bigger party for her and Charlotte when we get home.

Katie has a nice pink cast on her leg now! I will try to get some pictures uploaded and do a post about that fun experienc soon!
